“The old Armadillo Cafe of Davie fame” has resurfaced in Dania Beach, where chef Kevin McCarthy, who makes “regular dining-room visits”, “keeps old favorites on the menu, such as the tequila grilled shrimp with corn cakes and chocolate fritters”, as well as some new Southwestern treats (e.g. Dr. Pepper–braised short ribs); perhaps the space is a bit “minimalist”, but converts command “go ahead and [go] – you won’t be disappointed.”
